The price was good, the location worked, and the room was clean and acceptable. The man at reception seemed friendly and helpful, but the service overall felt poor. We waited an hour in the lobby to check in because nobody was at reception, and another guest came down with no hot water and no staff to help. In the morning, they used a very loud power drill and hammers for hotel construction or maintenance for more than an hour. We asked them to wait until later in the afternoon, outside sleeping hours, but they refused. It was intrusive and completely unacceptable, especially since it went on so long. They should have basic respect for guests and waited until after check-out. I don’t usually complain, but this was very poor service.

The price is very good and the standard is acceptable. Staff were friendly and helpful, and being able to leave your belongings in storage after check-out was a big plus. It made it easy to get around without carrying a backpack.

There wasn’t anyone in the lobby when we needed help with our suitcases, even though we’d been told someone would assist. We called, and they said they’d gone to bed at 12 o’clock. Is that supposed to be a problem for guests? They also mentioned having to look after a child. When we arrived, the staff seemed very unfriendly and angry in their language. Our room was on the top floor and looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned, with used socks left on the floor. The hotel was very bad.

We turned up without a booking and were offered two nice rooms at clear, competitive prices. The owner was welcoming, cheerful and kind, always smiling. Our room was tidy and pleasant, and the major attractions in this beautiful region are nearby.

Breakfast was great, parking was easy, and the location is very convenient for the price. The hosts were warm and enthusiastic, doing their best to make us comfortable. The shower pressure in our room was too low, but we liked the place so much that we added another night in that same room. If we return to Selcuk, this would be our first choice.
