We stayed for one night hoping to get some rest before continuing our trip, but it was a miserable experience. They said parking was a six-minute walk from the accommodation without mentioning the uphill climb, which made hauling our suitcases really hard. We’d told them when we expected to arrive, yet nobody was at the konak; after waiting a while, we called and someone finally came out. Our room was right by the entrance, beside the fridge and kitchen, and people were so loud we couldn’t sleep. At 7 in the morning we woke to someone cooking, and it stayed noisy outside. The shower water was warm for about two minutes, then turned cold. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Sleeping in the car would be better.

I felt at home thanks to Gokalp and his lovely staff, who made sure we were well looked after. Cirkincekonak Hotel in Şirince is charming, spotless, and wonderfully peaceful, with stunning views. The Helen Room was amazing. Every moment of my stay felt magical and life-changing. I highly recommend it.

The rooms on the top floor have a magnificent view across Şirince, and the building is a renovated old village house. Getting there by car was tricky: the hotel is high up, and the narrow path leading to it isn’t in great shape. There’s a boiler in the bathroom, but the water sometimes didn’t heat properly. The hotel doesn’t serve food or drinks, so bring at least some water for the night, especially if you’ll arrive late.

We couldn’t sleep because sound carried so badly through this old house. We ended up leaving a night early, and that was the best decision.

Our room was cramped, and the online photos had led us to expect more space. It was near the side road too, so people passed very close to the window. Getting from the parking area to the hotel with a trolley was really difficult.
