Carmina Hotel

The Carmina is in a great spot, quiet enough to relax but incredibly close to the busy strip. The Turkish breakfast was fabulous, and there are 2 free pool tables. The staff were so lovely and helpful, they really couldn’t do enough for us. The onsite bar has good food and great drinks, and the pool is lovely and clean. Our rooms were clean, though they could use a slight referb. For the price, it’s amazing. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

At Oasis Spa & Turkish bath inside Carmina Hotel, I went for the Bronzing Package, which was the best value I’d found. Ahmet Ağar was warm and professional, and his 20-plus years of experience showed. I work at a desk and had plenty of knots in my back; he worked them out better than any massage I’ve had in the U.K. I prefer a male masseuse because they’re usually firmer. Afterwards, he brought me Turkish tea and Turkish delight. I’ve never felt so clean. Thank you, Ahmet Ağar!

A good-sized, clean pool, and a handy base for the beach and aqua park. The hotel is under three minutes from the local nightlife, too. The rooms have what you need for a cheap holiday, and the staff are happy to help with anything, often going beyond what’s expected. If you want an affordable, friendly local hotel with easy access to what Turkey has to offer, this is a solid choice. I’ll be back for sure.

The half-board menu was the only thing that kept this from being a five-star stay. We were there for 10 days, and the food, though delicious, didn’t change, so we got a bit bored. A little more variety would make this a perfect small hotel. The staff are amazing and couldn’t do enough for us, and the pool and view are lovely. Our room was a good size, with air conditioning, a fridge, cooker and utensils. It’s close to shops and nightlife, but far enough away that we couldn’t hear it. The moussaka is well worth trying.
