Halcyon Days Hotel

The balcony was my favourite spot in the morning, so quiet and peaceful with a warm drink in hand. The hotel felt like a small paradise after the difficult days before it, and I’ll always remember that sense of calm. The rooms are spacious and clean, the sheets freshly washed, and there's a kettle with tea and coffee. Everything was very clean, including the pool, which looks small but is actually bigger than it seems and sits beneath a quiet sky and peaceful trees. Breakfast was very good, with lots of tasty choices and especially refreshing fresh fruit. The hotel manager and staff are incredibly kind and well informed. Most speak fluent English and will help with anything, which made me feel safe. If you want loud pop music and clingy Turkish staff, this quiet place probably won't suit you. But if you want to feel calm and relaxed, you really have to visit.

The price was great for the stay, and the rooms were good. It’s a bit out of the way for Olu deniz, though I had a car, so that worked out well.

The garden was amazing, and I loved having breakfast there. I was surprised by how good the buffet was, with Turkish staples like tahini, olives, greens, vegetables, and Turkish tea. As a vegan who avoids dairy, I wasn't sure I'd find enough to eat, but this hotel is vegan friendly and I never left breakfast hungry. Before booking I worried the location might not be ideal, but once there I realized it was actually the best place to stay. Fethiye centre is a ten-minute drive away and Hisaruni village is four minutes away. Although the hotel is near the road, we heard nothing but birds and felt really relaxed. We didn't spend much time in our comfortable, very clean room because we were taking boat trips and other tours offered by the hotel. The service was great, and the people in charge were welcoming and helpful. We didn't get much time at the huge pool with the waterslide, but next time I'd like to relax there longer. The music in the background made the atmosphere lovely. The hotel exceeded my expectations, and I'm happy with my choice. Next time I'll stay here again. Thanks to the staff, who were always ready to chat, suggest places to see, and even share Turkish tea with us.
