Montebello Deluxe

The beach was so close that we could see the pirate boats, and from our top-floor balcony we watched paragliders fly over the hotel each morning. It was perfect for lazy days. This was my second time in Olu Deniz, and my son Dan and I stayed from August 31st to September 10th. We loved it and didn't want to head home. Everyone was kind, from the restaurant and bar teams to the cleaning ladies, who were friendly and quick to sort out anything we needed. The food suited us well. When I had a crisis, the staff helped straight away, which meant a lot. And a big thank you to the lads carrying cases up and down all those stairs in the heat. You were amazing. I don't know how you do it! Thanks for such a lovely holiday. We'll be back. Love, Zo and Dan! Xx

The hotel is in a handy spot, quiet in the evening but only a short walk from the main strip and beachfront. Breakfast was tasty, drinks were reasonably priced, and the staff were lovely. We had a great time for the four nights we spent at Montebello Deluxe. Our room was clean and spacious, though the cleaners kept taking the used towels without leaving enough fresh ones. Sometimes there was just one towel, or only a hand towel. The pool area is nicely designed, but the surrounding accommodation means it gets very shaded in the afternoon and can feel enclosed. We got what we paid for and enjoyed ourselves. I might not return because of the pool shade, though it's a lovely hotel.

We still have three days before heading home, and already know we'll be back next year. The staff have made us feel like family, the rooms are spotless, and the pool area is lovely. The location is brilliant too. It's our first time in Turkey, and we've made some very special memories. Thanks to everyone for an awesome holiday. X

The reception team really turned things around, and now we have a beautiful deluxe room, which is what we should have been given at the start. They listened and sorted it out. Great customer service. If you have a complaint, give the staff a chance to fix it before mouthing off. I was honest about the start of our stay, and I can now enjoy the holiday. I'll come back again. Rooms, service, and location are all five stars now. We'd liked Montebello enough to return, but arriving at 4am made for a rough start. Our room at the back smelled so strongly of a septic tank that it was hard to breathe, and neither of us could sleep. The air conditioning was stuck on and rumbled loudly until we put batteries in the remote and switched it off. The bathroom sink's hot water was only a trickle, the patio wasn't pleasant, and there were other bad noises with deep vibrations. Having only one socket for charging phones wasn't enough. The room itself and the fairly new-looking bathroom were okay, but the shower wasn't great. I felt this room shouldn't be given to guests, perhaps staff only. I've stayed in many places as I've gotten older, and this was one of the worst rooms yet. The young male night receptionist did his best and replaced the batteries. I said we'd move hotels if we weren't moved to a decent room and refunded. After I wrote that, we spoke with senior staff and were promised a room change once someone checked out. The hotel is lovely and the staff are nice, so we could relax a little while waiting. We hadn't got the new room yet, but were hopeful. The reception staff were brilliant, and the hotel renewed my faith in Montebello.
