The location is great, and the family rooms were just the right size, but that’s where the positives end. The staff lie and don’t care about their guests’ wellbeing. Both the baby pool and main pool are dangerous, with loose or missing tiles that could easily cut a child. The door locks don’t work either. We experienced other people being able to enter our room without a key. If you want a relaxing hotel where you feel safe and looked after, I’d avoid this one.

We had a lovely, quiet 11-night stay at Saray from 29 September, and liked Hisaronu enough to book the same hotel for next April. The rooms have A/C, a TV and a fridge stocked with drinks to buy. Everything we ate and drank at the hotel was good and priced in line with the area. Breakfast is simple and fresh, though a full English costs extra. The place is clean, if a little dated, and the maids changed the bedding and towels and cleaned our room every day. Saray is also just five minutes from the main strip. I wouldn't let the negative reviews put you off.

The staff were friendly, and the place was very clean. Its location is good too. The rooms are basic, though, and could use more drawers or storage space. The safe deposit box cost £30 a week, or £60 for two weeks, which felt excessive. I've never paid that much for one in Turkey or Greece.

The only thing missing from the rooms was a way to make tea or coffee. Otherwise, they were spacious and nice, with great mountain views, and the hotel was very clean. If you want somewhere peaceful and quiet, I'd highly recommend it.

The pool was a decent size, with steps to get in. The only real bother was the daily sunbed battle each morning. Rooms are basic, but they were cleaned every day, and the staff were polite and really friendly. Breakfast was very simple, though the melon was amazing. We stayed for two weeks in mid-August and would definitely come back.
