St. Nicholas Park Hotel

We barely noticed how quiet it was, though we were there in April when the hotel wasn’t very busy. The setting has lovely views and a relaxed feel, with Hisarönü only a 5-10 minute walk away. Our family room worked well for two adults and two teenagers: a double in one room, plus two singles in a separate area divided by a door. It was basic but spacious, with a big wardrobe and small balcony. The fridge was replenished daily, housekeeping came every day, and everything was very clean. We enjoyed the all-inclusive food throughout our stay, with plenty of different dishes each day and no need to eat out. The spa team were discreet, professional and helpful, while restaurant and reception staff were friendly and attentive. We’re planning to return next spring and would gladly recommend it to friends and family.

The facilities felt packed and chaotic, and it was hard to find anywhere to relax. Noise and poor organization made the place stressful instead of peaceful. I also found a big gap between the luxury resort suggested by the promotional photos and descriptions and what we actually got. It seemed like appearances mattered more than quality. Our room was disappointing right away. It looked worn and poorly cared for, the cleanliness was questionable, and it fell well short of the photos. For what we paid, it felt like a rip-off. Meals were another letdown: there seemed to be lots of choice, but much of it was bland, repetitive and forgettable. By the end, meal times felt like a chore. Service made the stay harder. Staff often seemed uninterested, unhelpful or overwhelmed. Simple requests took too long, and concerns were brushed off or handled without urgency. Guest service felt like an afterthought. This was easily one of my worst hotel stays, more an exercise in patience than a holiday. I don’t understand the positive reviews when so many basics seem neglected. Poor service, mediocre food, crowded facilities and lack of care made this a major disappointment. I wouldn’t return or recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable holiday. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Good value for the money. The main pool has brilliant views, and there are two other lovely pools as well. Most of the staff were lovely, though one or two didn’t seem interested. There was a nice food selection, but most of the dishes on the hot counter were only lukewarm, even though they were cooked okay. The pasta was the hottest, unless you got chips just as they came out.

The location worked well for us, just a short walk from the strip and nearby shops. We had a good time together as a family, but the downsides mean we wouldn’t return. In our opinion it feels like a 2-3 star place at most. The mountain view was beautiful, with parashoots drifting in the air, and most staff were friendly and attentive. But check-in was disorganised and frustrating: the receptionist seemed confused and struggled to communicate, then forgot to give us our wristbands. We also learned WiFi was free only in reception, with room access costing £2 per person per day, which felt outdated and inconvenient. The safe cost extra for the length of the stay too. The room was okay, but the bedding wasn’t comfortable. It was basically blankets inside sheets that kept bunching up and rolling around. The shower swung without warning from freezing cold to boiling hot. Food was mediocre, nothing memorable or exciting.
