The music was the biggest problem for me. It played from the bar area all day and often very loudly, from 10 AM until at least midnight. All rooms face that area, so there was nowhere to get away from it. After I asked a few times, they turned it down a little, but said they’d turn it up again when customers arrived, even though the bar was often empty. I’d deliberately picked a place away from party central Ovacik and the Ölüdeniz main strip. With young children, you can’t really call this kid friendly when guests can’t sleep until after midnight. If the music is going to keep people up, breakfast hours could at least be longer. It seemed geared toward British tourists who enjoy partying. Some of us want to relax on holiday. The hotel is small, with mostly kind and welcoming regular staff, and it’s a 10-minute walk to Ölüdeniz beach and plenty of restaurants. The pool area is nice, though people reserve the loungers with towels before breakfast. Please actually remove those towels! Breakfast had a nice view and was pretty good if you like eggs, salad, and savory food. There weren’t many sweet choices or any pastries, and it clearly catered to Brits. The hotel can be good value when third-party sites offer it for €40-45 a night or less. At prices closer to other hotels, I’d probably stay elsewhere if I returned. I emailed before my visit and never got a reply. The receptionists spoke little or no English, so I had to use Google Translate to communicate. My souterrain room was quite dark, and people could easily see inside. I also had trouble getting hot water almost every day: it took at least five minutes for the shower to get a little warmer, wasting a lot of water, and often it never warmed up. I complained several times before they moved me to another room, where the problem stopped. They didn’t offer compensation. The “deluxe” room I moved to was bigger and better furnished, but had a serious safety flaw. Its only window was also the entrance door, so I couldn’t leave it open a little at night without anyone being able to walk in. To lock it at night, I had to put the key in the wall card reader. In a fire, I’d first have to find the key and put it in the lock before I could open the door and escape. That’s poor design for a deluxe room, in my opinion.

Omg, don’t go there, trust me. I left feeling really uncomfortable as a woman, and wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. In the evenings the staff gossiped about guests among themselves, then acted friendly in front of everyone. They didn’t realize I understood Turkish. We’d booked half board, but they tried to charge us 400 euros. After a lot of arguing, the bill suddenly dropped to 100 euros. I’ve never dealt with staff this bad or dishonest.

For the price we paid, £600 for two including flights, this was a great base in Ölüdeniz, and I’d gladly book again. It’s friendly, clean, and very conveniently placed, with the town and beach just steps away and plenty of restaurants and bars within a short walk. We enjoyed the mix of Turkish and continental food at breakfast, but I’d choose bed and breakfast so we could try the places nearby. The bar stayed open late, had a good selection, and served tasty, reasonably priced lunches that we could charge to the room and settle when leaving. The staff were lovely, helpful, and attentive, and the housekeepers took real care with the spotless rooms. The pool area was beautifully kept and a great place to relax. The rooms are basic but immaculate. I’d avoid rooms 101-104, which are dark basement rooms; the others we saw were fine. Air conditioning and a fridge each cost £20 per week. Late check-out until 5pm costs £20, which felt like good value. For the best view and atmosphere, I’d ask for a room in Block C overlooking the pool. The loungers are close together, so the pool can feel crowded during school holidays when a few families take up the space. A visit outside peak times may be quieter. It isn’t a 5-star resort, but at this price I found it hard to fault. I’ve stayed in all sorts of hotels and don’t understand the negative reviews.

Breakfast was very good, and the receptionists were nice and helpful. But after breakfast, the food was a bit dodgy. The family hotel had a nice pool area and setting, yet loud music played all day until 11 or 11.30 pm. Poor kids must struggle to sleep. Everyone should take ear plugs. Some rooms were damp, and room 126 had patches of black mold that made it unfit to stay in. I switched to room 111, which was damp too, though it had no mold. The manager wasn’t interested in fixing it. George could be like a strict, condescending teacher, depending on what you spent. I stayed five times, but booked only because nothing else was available on my last two visits.

We’ve just got back from 14 days and have already booked to return. George is amazing, and the bar staff were all great fun, especially Ismail Mustfa and ugur. The reception team were friendly too, and the cleaners were always cheerful and did a good job every day. We loved the cocktails, food, and pool area. There’s a handy shop right outside, and the location at the top of the strip gives you lovely views. It may be a 3 ⭐ hotel, but the service was fantastic and better than we expected. Can’t wait to get back. Yes please 😂😂 Cake time 😜
