Act Home's

Just right for what I needed.

The kitchen was greasy and dirty, and the whole place looked badly neglected. When you walk in, there's a strong smell even with the windows open. The couch is filthy, and the bed feels like a dirty sponge. I couldn't bring myself to touch the pillows, much less rest my head on them. The photos tell the story. There's plenty more I could say, but this place isn't fit to stay in. Don't bother trying.

What little positive there was is that they let us see the rooms before paying, so at least there was no surprise afterward. We only stayed because we couldn't find another guesthouse with availability on our route. The rooms were dirty, damp, and extremely neglected. Some air conditioners worked and others didn't; the sofa and cupboard doors were broken. The sheets were filthy. When we asked for replacements, the new ones smelled even worse, so we rolled up our own clothes to use as pillows. It was a complete disaster, and if we hadn't been stuck, we never would have stayed. I absolutely can't recommend Act Home.

There wasn't any hot water during our stay, so taking a shower was out of the question. We paid about 2000 TL, and the place was nowhere near worth it. The dirty sheets were so bad I put my jacket down and slept on it instead. The night was also noisy, with people next door talking and coming and going constantly. We later realized it was a prostitution ring, which made the activity feel unsettling as well as disruptive. After I posted an honest account of our stay, the apartment manager called and pressured me to take it down. His brother seemed well-intentioned, but he also asked me to remove the review. Cleanliness, comfort, and service were all lacking. I regret staying here, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, safe place.
