Hot water in the shower was a real plus, thanks to the continuous-flow heater, and that stood out to me compared with the nearby Aeon Boutique Hotel. I spent two months here, from mid-January to mid-March, mostly on my own since there were very few long-term guests. A couple of times, someone stayed next door for a few nights. Kemal, the manager, is easy to talk to and has interesting stories from living abroad, including on Russia’s Black Sea coast, where he drank vodka. He let me use the kitchen, brought me spicy food, gave me an extra blanket when it got cold, and even got free medication for me from the pharmacy. The location is handy, right in the center and close to the bus terminus and the promenade with its tourist street. My monthly rate was 4,000 Turkish lira, or 2,000 for half a month. Cleaning and fresh linens cost extra, maybe 100 or 200 lira, though I can’t remember which. The air conditioner was a hassle at first because there was no remote. I had to press the button on the unit and set it to 22 degrees Celsius, sometimes 18, and it would occasionally hum for ages without starting the heat. The hotel technician later found the remote, but I still had to tap the unit to get it going, like an old Soviet-era television. Still, I’d recommend the place if you’re in Dalyan. Alex from Russia
