Villa number 1 was very nice, clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed, plus a big garden.
The villa water smells awful, and we even had to buy our own pans because the ones there were unusable. We’re on day two and still haven’t swum, since the pool hasn’t been cleaned and is now full of parasites. They’ve said for hours that someone would come, but nobody has shown up. The person in charge hasn’t answered the phone for days and only wants to communicate over WhatsApp. The place hasn’t been cleaned at all. There’s no toilet paper, broom, or vacuum cleaner, and the children’s dining table is broken. No one should come here or book these villas. I’ve stayed in quite a few villas, but this is the worst and most disgusting one I’ve ever seen. It’s such a waste of money, and a real shame for the crying children who can’t swim. Do yourselves a favor and avoid it.
We spent 12 days here as two families. The villa felt spacious and airy, and Temel Uncle and his family were kind and attentive. We’ll always visit the Grand Yasar family for coffee and conversation. Temel Yasar may be the name on the listing, but he’s a true gentleman. The person looking after the garden, pool and surrounding area, though, worked carelessly and without much organization, as if they didn’t want to be doing it, and it drove us crazy. On our last day they left the garden watering until midnight, ruining the day and night for us. We had to pack our belongings into wet suitcases.
The villa needs a proper cleaning. We arrived at 12:30 a.m. to dusty floors, which was a shame. For a five-day stay with two families in the large villa, there were also a lot of missing basics: no coffee cups, iron board, high chair, vacuum, broom, mop or bedside table. There should be enough toilet paper for at least the first day, since it’s not possible to shop in the middle of the night. Shopping is difficult without a car. The broken protective cap on the pool filter is dangerous for children. The pool was another hassle, as we had to arrange for someone to clean it ourselves every day.
We paid for a round trip by boat to the royal tombs, but when we got off, the person meant to bring us back just waved goodbye and wouldn’t take the money. We were left waiting in the sun with two children and two families. There wasn’t anything to see, so the trip felt like a waste of time. It seemed clear that the company only cared about getting paid, and after that they didn’t care about us. I wouldn’t stay in their villas or use any of their other services.
