BC Spa Hotel

We had a comfortable room with a pull-out sofa bed downstairs and a separate bedroom upstairs. Both floors had air conditioning. The hotel is really close to everything, and we enjoyed using the spa twice. The staff there were kind and made us feel relaxed. There are two pools and a small jacuzzi that stays open late, which was nice for a swim in the evening after busy days. The staff throughout the hotel were helpful and polite. Breakfast was limited, but okay. It was a lovely, affordable stay, and we’ll definitely book again.

The spa and the hotel's charm were the best parts for us, and the place is tucked a little away from the centre but still convenient for getting to what you need. This was our third visit, and this year the stay was worth praising. We got a free upgrade to a much better room, though I'd still check that the air conditioning works properly. Breakfast had improved, with more variety and fruit, although fresh pomegranate and orange juice still cost extra. They also seem to be getting on top of the mosquitoes. One tip: keep asking for the wine prices on the wine list, and be persistent. Hope they keep improving!

The view was the one good thing, along with the young woman working at the bar who spoke fluent English. We were there for over a week with family, and this was by far my worst trip to Turkey after many years of visiting. Booking this place was the worst decision of my life. The hotel felt more like a 2 star than a four star. Staff were rude, especially the short man in black who works dinner service at the bar. The dinner area and pool had ants everywhere. Breakfast was so minimal I’m not sure it deserves the name, and we had to keep buying water from shops because every bottle was charged. There was no iron, kettle or cups in the room. We only got shower soap on the first day, so the kids had to keep asking the maid for more. The air conditioning dripped on my head each night, the bed had only a thin sheet and no duvet, and the room wasn’t cleaned daily as stated. There was no evening entertainment for families. I asked several times to speak to the manager, but never saw them. Instead, other staff pretended to be the manager, knowing I wanted to complain about them. There was also an aggressive dog and lots of stray cats hanging around at dinner. Stay away if you want your peace of mind and a peaceful stay.

The location is very good, and it could be a lovely hotel, but it feels seriously underinvested in and there’s no visible management. I was there for a few days. My room wasn’t serviced for a day; when I asked, I was told rooms are cleaned every 3 days. The bathroom tap wobbled, the water was only lukewarm by early evening, and the Wi-Fi was dreadful. In the morning, glasses and towels were left strewn around the poolside. Not good.
