The Osmanli Hani

The view was lovely, and a few staff members were genuinely kind, but I wouldn't return or recommend the hotel. Safety, comfort, food, and service all fell well below expectations. The smoke detector in our room still had a seal over it, so it wouldn't work in a fire. There were lots of mosquitoes and no nets on the windows, and we were bitten constantly. The bed was the worst I've ever slept on. When I asked for help, they just put a blanket on top of the mattress, which didn't help. Noise carried constantly, from chairs moving to water running. There was no proper baby bed. They folded a blanket and put it in the crib, which didn't feel safe or suitable for a child. Dinner choices were very limited and repetitive, and for three days the food was cold. My wife often had only fruit and yogurt, while our child got by on bread and butter. Breakfast also lacked variety. Bathroom towels couldn't be used at the pool, but there was no towel service, so guests had to bring or buy their own. That's impractical when flying and unfriendly to the environment. There was no written information about meal times or shuttle services, so guests had to ask repeatedly and take their own notes. The internet dropped all the time, and when it worked the speed was just 1.8 Mb/s, almost unusable.

This is a relaxed hotel that may suit older guests. We enjoyed our visit and would come back. Club Alla Turca has three-floor, maisonette-style buildings, so bear in mind there are no lifts if mobility is an issue. The pool and garden are lovely and spacious, with plenty of sunbeds. Rooms are small but clean and pleasant, with good showers and firm mattresses. There aren't many electrical sockets, so bring an extension cord. Breakfast was just okay. There should be something for everyone, though the choice is a bit limited for a four-star place. Fresh orange juice costs extra.

The room had no sound insulation at all. When someone showered upstairs, the water sounded as if it was rushing into our room, and even the smallest chair movement came through. Still, the hotel was lovely and very clean, the staff were friendly, and we enjoyed breakfast. There was plenty to choose from: different eggs, including omelettes, fried and scrambled, plus bread, toast, fresh fruit, cereals, and continental options. Drinks included English tea, lots of flavored teas, coffee, Turkish coffee, and juices. The pool and grounds were lovely, with plenty of loungers.

We love the riverside walk into Dalyan. It's an easy 15-20 minutes along a paved path, the scenery is beautiful, and the route is well lit at night. We also liked having a quieter place to relax away from the pool, plus the comfy booths for a change of scene. This was our third visit, and we wouldn't choose anywhere else in Dalyan. We stayed half board and would recommend the food, with lots of choice at breakfast and dinner. The staff were all lovely and looked after us well. Around the pool there are plenty of comfortable sunbeds, umbrellas, and tables.
