A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel "Nox Cave Hotel" is located in Ortahisar. This hotel is located in the very center of the city. Before going to bed, you can walk around the main landmarks of the city.

We loved the quieter setting in Orthahisar, only 2km from Göreme, with easy access to balloon rides, horse riding ranches and tours while getting a break from Göreme’s busy center. The valley, full of caves, churches and sights to marvel at, is a five-minute walk downhill, and the castle is under ten minutes away. Ruth Lockwood and the staff were warm and quick to respond, with great tips on what to see, do and eat around Cappadocia. A classic, authentic stay that made a lasting impression, highly recommend.

Neclar made us feel so welcome and helped us with anything we needed. She even let us use the kitchen and laundry, which was a big help. The hotel has genuine charm, with lots of authentic art, and the rooms and shared spaces are cool and comfortable. There’s no AC in the room, but the cave stayed cool even in summer. The shower had strong hot water, the bed was comfortable and WiFi worked everywhere. The price was reasonable compared with other places. Just be ready for stairs.

Staying at Elaa Cave Hotel, tucked beneath the Orthahisar Castle, is a great way to experience cave living. The rooms have large, comfortable beds, a seating area and ensuite bathrooms, and they’re well equipped. Ruth Lockwood and her team are thoughtful and responsive, with lovely ideas for places to go and things to do in Cappadocia. Looking forward to coming back!

Ruth, the owner, was kind, accommodating and knew the area so well. Necla, the manager, was attentive and made us an amazing breakfast spread. We had a beautiful stay at Elaa. The rooms were huge and comfortable, and sleeping in a cave was so cool. I'll stay here again when I come back.
