Anatolia Hotel

We spent one night here as a family and regretted booking it almost immediately. The mattress was awful, and the room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for somewhere to get a good night's rest.

I reserved a double bed, but the owner put me in a room with four single beds instead. There was no Wi-Fi signal, either. They said the hotel was fully booked, even though it was the winter off-season. It was a really bad experience, and I hope this review reminds them to be honest.

The reception hall smelled of urine, which already made a bad impression. I had booked and paid for the previous night by mistake, and I own that. Still, when I politely asked the woman at reception if she could help me with a room, she refused and laughed, saying she could have checked me in at 9 and I should have left by 11. I accepted that, then asked if she could offer even a small discount for that day. Her answer was, “You will pay full price.” When I left, I said goodbye and thank you, but she didn't respond. The lack of sympathy and cleanliness was upsetting. I wouldn't recommend coming here.

The pool was a real highlight: it's a good size for swimming and stays cool in the Pamukkale heat. The pool area also looked well cared for, suggesting they're investing in it. Breakfast was simple, but tasty and enough for us. The location worked well, about 10-12 minutes from central Pamukkale, with a view below of the “cotton fortress.” The owner and staff were warm and helpful. They accepted our booking at short notice and showed us to a freshly cleaned room. Our poolside room was clean, as was the bathroom, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The front terrace was a nice place to relax. The room was a bit too small for a five-star rating, though we wouldn't spend much time in it anyway. It could also use a fresh coat of paint and a quieter, newer fridge. Better lighting would help too, but with the ongoing improvements that may be sorted by next year. Everything else felt good for the price. Thanks!
