Ozbay Hotel

For 1300 TL, about 27 Euros at the time, my single room in September 2025 was reasonable for an overpriced town like Pamukkale. The room and bedding were clean, and both the air conditioning and hot water worked well. It had beds, a smelly fridge, a kettle and air conditioning, but no breakfast. The welcome was unfriendly, though the staff became a little nicer later. It’s basic accommodation on the main road, about a three-minute walk from the Pamukkale city entrance gate. I wasn’t keen on the atmosphere at the hotel or in town, although the Travertines and Hierapolis were overwhelming. I’d give it three stars, but the rate made it decent value.

The food we tried was delicious and authentic, from cheese and meat pide and lamb kebab to seaweed egg soup, cumin lamb, fried egg rice and spicy eggplant. The local wines, especially Shiraz and Rose, had lots of flavour, and the wholesome pomegranate juice became our favourite. We stayed one night and had clean, comfortable rooms with very attentive service. They also recommended a nearby massage and Turkish bath and arranged transport for us.

We only stayed one night, but the staff were friendly, accommodating and really nice. The courtyard out front was lovely for having a drink or a meal after a long day. A lovely place to stay, I’d recommend it anytime.

The hotel was a great surprise. The rooms were spacious, very clean, in good condition and had all the facilities we needed. There’s also a nice outdoor area and bar. It’s very close to the travertines, and the staff were friendly, so we had an amazing time. Ali deserves a special mention for being so helpful and accommodating. You can book activities through the hotel at a very good price. Highly recommended.
