Keles Hotel

The breakfast buffet was the highlight for me, with a nice range of hot and cold dishes. The kitchen lady even told me Menemen would be ready soon. I didn't know what it was, but when she brought it over, she'd made a dish especially for me. My room on the first floor was surprisingly large, set up for four people, with comfortable beds and a clean, well-equipped shower. At reception I was welcomed warmly and given the information I needed. They also mentioned that tea and coffee are available in the lobby all the time, which was a nice touch.

The breakfast buffet was the only good part of a really bad stay. The bathrooms need a lot of cleaning and maintenance: water poured from the shower hose, and the bathtub drain was blocked. The place wasn't clean generally, either. There was just one elevator for the whole 10-floor hotel, and it was so cramped it couldn't take more than three people. I wouldn't recommend it.

Every room seemed to smell of smoke, with such poor airflow that we had to open the windows on a cold winter day just to breathe. The elevator barely fits two people, and that's without bags. If you like being packed into other people's personal space and you're a smoker, maybe you'd be fine here. To me, it should be called a pension or youth hotel. I wouldn't recommend it.

Otel Keleş is a budget-friendly place in the city center, and you get what you pay for. The rooms are basic, old, and a bit worn, but there's WiFi, hot water, a good breakfast, and friendly service. Fine if you just need somewhere to sleep.
