Backyard Sapanca

We paid 24,000 Turkish Lira for two weekday nights, which felt high for the quality and amenities. We were five friends staying in summer. The room was clean and nicely arranged, but small, and the staff were excellent, bringing anything we asked for quickly. There was no kitchen or place to prepare food, just a kettle with instant tea and coffee. The bathroom flooded after showers because there was no shower door, and cleanliness elsewhere was average. The pool was a nice extra, but wasn't clean on arrival. Staff cleaned it quickly when we asked, though it was small, and there were only two sun loungers. They couldn't provide more when we asked for some for all five of us. Breakfast was average. Upstairs, the bedroom curtain was broken, so sunlight came in early; opening the window let in no-screen air, and we found lots of ants on the dining table. The fridge was very small and didn't cool properly. We hope management considers these comments to improve the guest experience.

The garden and fireplace were the highlights of our three night New Year's weekend, and the staff and breakfast were good. On New Year's Eve, they surprised us by serving dinner in our bungalow. The bathroom was a problem, though. Water pressure was low and took a long time to get hot, and shower water spread across the floor because there was no door. I couldn't use the jacuzzi, since the tub wouldn't fill before the water went cold. The stairs are very steep, and I fell down them in slippers, so keep that in mind if you have young children or adults who aren't steady. There were also stains and burn holes around the sofa, which made it less pleasant to relax there. Those could be cleaned or repaired easily.

The owner was very helpful, the staff were wonderful, and the service and hospitality were excellent, especially from Hossam. We had great facilities including a swimming pool, and they arranged a car and driver for us. Breakfast was delicious, and the massage was amazing. A beautiful place to relax and spend time with family.

My small family and I spent two nights here recently, away from the city bustle of Istanbul, and enjoyed every moment. The heated pool and early morning birdsong were lovely, and breakfast was perfect. I liked being able to have it in our room at no extra charge. The staff were all friendly and smiling. The upstairs wooden floor was broken and a little dangerous to walk on. There were bugs inside the bangalow too, but that's hard to avoid in the middle of nature, so I can't really complain about it. I'll definitely return to this wonderful place. Big thanks to the staff.
