Hotel Bonvie

Hotel Bonvie really lived up to the photos, which often look more polished than reality. The place exceeded my expectations and stands out among the 5 star hotels I’ve stayed at for its attention to detail and value. It was impeccably clean from the moment I arrived, and the staff were genuinely warm and welcoming. The modern, spacious rooms were well maintained, with no visible flaws. The AC worked perfectly, and the bathroom felt luxurious, with what seemed like underfloor heating. I’m already looking forward to another visit. Highly recommend!

Breakfast alone is worth getting up for. It’s a huge buffet with just about everything, and I was glad to find something besides Nescafe. The filter coffee was weak, but the tea was a good alternative. The pool is amazing, clean and contemporary, especially if you visit in summer. Our garden and pool view was wonderful, and the room was spacious and comfortable. A couple of small things could be improved: the light could be brighter, there was only one patio chair, the shower grout had a little mold, and the patio surfaces were dusty. Those details barely affected the experience. The Bonvie is family friendly, with welcoming staff and inviting, well kept common areas. The price was reasonable compared with other local hotels. Location may be an issue without a car if you want downtown, though I wouldn’t choose downtown hotels anyway, they’re 1 stars with 5 star pricing and hella sketchy. Trust the website photos and book, you won’t be disappointed.

I won’t be coming back, to be honest. The price is steep, and you can get the same level for half as much. The hotel was clean, but the room lighting was poor and breakfast was modest. Rooms facing the main street were noisy. On the other side, some rooms look over the pool and have balconies, and those are better than the street-facing ones.

After 3 months riding in Turkey, this is THE FIRST hotel with central AC that was actually on and working. That alone gets 5 stars from me. My room was very comfortable, and there was secured parking for my motorcycle at the back. I’d first tried another hotel, but its receptionist was very rude and kept speaking to people who arrived after me, so I left. I’m glad I did, because the staff here treated me politely and kindly. The one odd thing is the site price was 20 euros less than the reception price!
