The staff were friendly and helpful, and we had no issues with anyone, but we wouldn't choose this place again. The beds were so uncomfortable that we woke up sore every day, and the sofas weren't really big enough for two people to sit comfortably. There were also so many insects and ants indoors that it was hard to relax. Even food we'd put in the refrigerator was covered in ants, and crumbs brought them swarming no matter how much I wiped things down. The pool was dirty too. It was covered, but still full of insects and dirt, so we couldn't use it. It didn't seem to be cleaned regularly. There were some good parts to our four-day stay at Grandwoodens Suites. The location was convenient, not too far from the city, and our house was clean. The internet worked perfectly, and the kitchen had tea, coffee, sugar, and salt. The garden and pool area felt private behind the fence. The house was already warm when we arrived, stayed warm even at night, and the fireplace was ready and easy to light. Breakfast was decent, though the menu was the same every day. Ordering food or groceries wasn't a problem. Being near wooded areas means lots of insects outside, which I understand can't really be helped, but they got into the house easily. We killed one or two a day, and you couldn't leave a glass on the counter without ants finding it. We came hoping for the peace and quiet of a bungalow holiday, but the insects and uncomfortable furniture made that difficult. The furniture didn't feel suited to the comfort and convenience people usually want on a holiday.

The rooms, linens, pool, garden, and kitchenware were clean, and the heating kept the bungalow warm. But communication and service were a real problem. We asked five times for sheets and pillows for our child. The dry cleaner said there was no vehicle available and they'd bring them at midnight. The pool heating also needed three follow-up calls before the issue was fixed. There were practical problems inside too. The upstairs shower was missing a glass panel, and downstairs the handle was broken and the sliding door was hard to shut. There was nowhere to hang towels and no wardrobes, so our things stayed in suitcases. The neighboring guests had asked reception for a pool net and got no answer; they asked us about one at the door. When we asked for firewood, an employee brought five pieces and left them by the grill, then said he knew nothing about it when we pointed out that the booking said two bundles would be provided. The curtain between our villa and the neighboring one was fully open, even though we'd booked expecting a conservative setting. Breakfast was poor: the cheese was terrible, the menemen for four wouldn't satisfy a child, there were only four green olives, five slices of bread, and the tea was cold. In response to the business's reply, the bungalow was advertised for four people and children of a certain age, with our five-year-old considered suitable. We gave the number and identification details for everyone, including the child, before check-in, so I don't know what else needed prior notice. I never claimed the pool temperature issue wasn't resolved; I said it took several calls. Please read my review carefully. There are no lockers in the bungalow, and I think we're using that word differently. I understood the net issue perfectly well: the neighbor had requested one. Explaining that back to me is ironic, and perhaps you should consider why not every bungalow has a net. No one explained the firewood issue either. Your employee said he didn't know anything, and I'm talking about what was promised when we booked. Saying your staff helped us doesn't make sense. I could have found three to five pieces outside myself. You also hadn't told us the neighboring house was empty. Saying it was vacant doesn't explain why there was no screen. Don't you inspect and clean each house after guests leave? Its being empty doesn't make the open curtain acceptable. I'm the one who wrote the review; I didn't recommend you to anyone or call you, so there's another communication mix-up. Some of my child's clothes were left behind. When I called and was told they'd check and get back to me, I expected no response, positive or negative, and that's what happened. I only wanted to point out how poor the communication was. And it's strange to answer criticism of breakfast by saying everyone likes it. Have a good day.
