Ayka Otel

The breakfast was another disappointment. They'd prepared food for three, even though there were four of us, and the staff told us that was all they'd provided. I asked them to fix it. My wife regretted coming, saying they'd spoiled the service, the bed, and breakfast. The eggs in the photos I'll post were inedible. We had booked this hotel about a month and a half before our Black Sea tour after reading the reviews. Ms. Yasemin was as polite and helpful as people had said. We spent most of our one day out exploring and arrived late, so we hadn't gone to the room earlier. When we finally got there, the sheets hadn't been changed and were covered in male hair. My wife said we'd only be there for one night, so we put t-shirts over the pillows and slept that way. They'd planned to make a bed for our little daughter on the sofa, but instead we squeezed into one double and one single bed. I wouldn't recommend the place. It made me wonder if the positive reviews came from fake accounts.

We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days and were really pleased. It felt like home, the staff were friendly and helpful, and we had no hygiene issues. The kitchen had enough supplies and they were usable.

Ayka Hotel is especially well located for getting to the sea. I've been to Samsun Atakum three times and stayed here every time. The rooms are spacious, lovely, and clean, and the owners are so welcoming that you feel like family, not a stranger. You can sit with them, chat, and have coffee. I've stayed at lots of hotels, but none has made me happier. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Thanks to Ms. Yasemin for being attentive and always smiling. I'm very satisfied and recommend it wholeheartedly.

The room was dusty and hadn't been swept, and the bathroom had a strong chemical smell. Music went on all night. The location and the view were really nice, though.
