Samsun Mes Hotel & Spa

The hotel faces a cemetery, which wasn’t mentioned in its description. It’s also far from everything, so getting around could be a problem without a car. I arrived at 16:30 but still had to wait another 30 minutes while they checked the rooms. They need renovation, and the curtains were extremely dirty and didn’t fully cover the windows. I contacted reception six times at night to turn on the AC, but they ignored me. Breakfast was fair, with few options and no fruit or dessert.

The staff made me feel as if I were staying with family, the kind I actually like. Everyone was magnificent and friendly, especially Mr. Mertçan. The hotel exceeded my expectations by 110%, with no Covid excuses to limit services or amenities, just first-class everything that left me glad I chose it. The bathroom had everything you could ask for, the shower was excellent, and the beds were more than comfortable. Breakfast was included and outstanding, well beyond expectations. If you’re in Samsun, don’t even think about another hotel; nothing else comes close. Best regards & Salaam, Johan, Nabilah & Syimasnawarni

The room was passable, but the amenities were poor. There were exposed sockets near the wash basin, and the towels were old and dirty. The food was bad too. The hotel itself feels old and run-down, near a storage industrial area and opposite a cemetery. It’s about 10 minutes from the center.

The chef is great, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The room is nice too. The location worked well for me because I needed the hospital, so that was good luck for me.
