Stone House by Cevahir

The access road is the only downside: the streets are so narrow that it's especially troublesome to get there by car. Otherwise, we were really pleased. The hotel is beautiful and clean, the staff are friendly and hospitable, and we really enjoyed breakfast. If you want to stay in a stone mansion while visiting Urfa, this could definitely be your first choice.

Mr. Ferhat deserves special thanks. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and made you feel at home. Breakfast was delicious and generous, and the rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. In Urfa's historic setting, the hotel's magnificent rooms and magical, old mansion atmosphere made my stay feel special, almost like being in a movie. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Getting around was difficult: the location details were inaccurate, navigation was confusing, and even taxi drivers could struggle to find the place. That's a serious issue for anyone unfamiliar with the city. Although the hotel claimed to have parking, there was no proper lot, and the narrow area made parking nearly impossible. Staff told us to find a spot ourselves, so drivers should be careful on those streets. We also had a hot water problem. When we complained, we were told to turn it on and wait, but there still wasn't enough hot water. The staff seemed indifferent and unhelpful, with little interest in finding solutions. For the price, the service was far below what we expected. We paid a 10,000 TL deposit after booking three rooms a month ahead, but on arrival things were completely different from what we'd seen online. We wanted to cancel because we were dissatisfied, but they didn't help or return the deposit. Prices were excessively high. On the same date, a Hilton room cost 5,500 TL, while one here was 9,500 TL. Don't book based on the name alone. Research carefully before going. Our experience was disappointing.

Cevahir Hotel and Restaurant is a very successful place to stay and eat in Urfa. The kitchen is excellent, since the establishment also has the Cevahir restaurant. The rooms are very clean and suit the atmosphere, and the courtyard is wonderful. Staff were attentive and friendly. Special thanks to Mr. Veysi and Ms. Gülistan, who took such good care of every guest, from parking to evening tea and breakfast. No need to worry about where to stay or eat in Urfa.
