The room wasn't clean enough for me. The bed linens were clean, but the refrigerator and floors weren't; I accidentally stepped on something and my feet got dirty. At 3000 TL a night, I don't think this hotel is cheap, despite the value-for-money claim. I booked a sea view room, but at check-in found out mine had no sea view. I raised it with three different people and got brushed off with comments like, "We don't have sea views anyway," and, "The top room has one, but it's too hot." I had been put in the wrong room, yet they stubbornly refused to move me to the one I was meant to have. They claimed the prices were the same, although they weren't, and I never got the difference refunded. I chose the place expecting quiet, but the marina nightclub noise kept coming into my room. Maybe another room would have made it less of an issue, I don't know. There are packs of dogs around at night and in the morning. They're harmless, but I was too scared to go out very late or early. Since reception was unattended during the week, I also felt completely unsafe there as a woman on my own. If I needed anything, nobody was downstairs to help. I wouldn't recommend it to a woman travelling alone. A more central place might be better.

I haven't stayed there, and after this phone call I won't. I rang this morning about booking a room and said I was coming from another city, about 2-3 hours away. They asked me to pay the full amount upfront. When I said I wanted to pay by card, they told me they only take cash or money order. I then asked them to hold the room and let me pay when I arrived. They said they might sell it to someone else if that person got there first. The whole point of a reservation is to stop the room being sold to someone else. Sadly, this business seems to have the mindset of a grocery store, not a tourism operation.

The place is quite nice and the price seems normal. The check-in took 30 minutes, though that was because I arrived late. The shower head needs fixing. The garden kitchen could also be made more useful with a toaster, microwave, two plates, cutlery, and similar basics, which might bring in more customers.

It was very close to Sığacık market, and the staff were friendly and polite. The rooms were tidy and clean, with slippers, shampoo, a mini-fridge, air conditioning, and a balcony, which were nice extras compared with many other places. We were told breakfast was at Deniz Hotel, a two-minute walk away. It wasn't bad, though we were hoping for something hot, like fried food or menemen.
