Mavi Ege Pansiyon

The owners made us feel at home right away, and even prepared menemen for us on our last morning when we asked. The three of us, all friends, stayed July 3-6 on a bed-and-breakfast basis. The hotel was clean, calm, and a pleasure to stay in. We’d gladly return to Mavi Ege, and I’d recommend it to anyone after a quiet holiday. Its warmth and service made the trip memorable.

We were three friends and felt safe and happy during our stay. The staff were so warm and attentive I felt more like a hostess than a guest, and they went beyond what we asked for. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and breakfast tasted like something made at home. They even made menemen one morning when we requested it. The peaceful setting, central spot, and friendly feel make this a lovely escape from the city. We’ll definitely be back. So glad we found you! :)

We stayed for seven days, and even that felt too short. My wife, our cat, and I left feeling as if we were leaving our own home. We were proud of our room, the garden, and Mavi Ege itself. The owners greeted us kindly after our long trip to Sığacık. We arrived a little early, but they let us into the room right away and brought refreshments so we could rest. They were helpful throughout, and made us feel sure that any problem would be dealt with quickly, though we didn’t have any. The room was roomy and bright, just like the pictures. The air conditioning, fridge, and hot water all worked reliably day and night. Clean towels and slippers were ready when we arrived, and the linens and towels looked almost new. There was enough wardrobe space and plenty of hangers, despite my bringing a lot of clothes, and we tucked the suitcases under the bed. The room stayed spacious and was spotless. On the third day they offered to clean it before we even asked, and they cleaned every detail, including the bathroom, rather than just giving the floor a quick sweep. Thank you for that. I’d heard someone mention fridge noise before leaving, but we didn’t notice any. We didn’t choose the dinner option because we thought we’d head to the beach early and return in the afternoon. Next time we’re planning to try your breakfast. Thanks again for the tea and coffee. We spent a couple of evenings playing backgammon in the garden and having coffee. There was soft music in our room for the first two nights. Sığacık is lively in the evenings, with music and food around, but Kaleiçi gets quiet around midnight. The music didn’t keep us from sleeping. The hotel is centrally placed, and all the well-known markets are an easy walk away, with everything we needed nearby. For us, a week is a good minimum stay. Ekmeksiz, the most beautiful beach I’ve seen, is about 10 minutes away; Akkum and Akarca beaches are around 7 minutes away. Teos is close too. Urla takes about 45 minutes, Çeşme and Izmir about an hour, and Kuşadası around two hours. We’d suggest enjoying Sığacık and the blue Aegean for the first few days, then seeing nearby places. We had done our own research, but the owners also gave us great tips on places to visit and eat. We really enjoyed their recommendations for restaurants and beaches. My wife, our cat, and I are grateful for the comfort, the lovely conversations, and the way you made the whole holiday special. Thank you for welcoming pets, too.
