It’s a quiet spot right in the center, close to everything. Kaleiçi is a five-minute walk, and minibuses for Akkum beach go right past. Ms. Mehtap was very attentive, and the place was meticulous and hygienic. For the price, I think it’s the best option. We were very pleased, and I’d say give it a try if you’re in Sığacık. The garden is a lovely place to sit, and guests can use the kitchen there as they like. We came across this place run by Ms. Mehtap and thought we’d be happy just to stay overnight. It’s only 3 minutes from Sığacık harbor. The rooms are decent, though not luxurious, since it’s a guesthouse. The refrigerator worked, the air conditioning cooled the room nicely, and above all it was spotlessly clean. Great value for money.

We stayed four nights and were very pleased. Ms. Mehtap was attentive, and even during our short four-day stay, the room was cleaned on the second day. For the price, I think it’s truly the best. There wasn’t even a trash bin in the room, and no clothes rack, so we had to put our clothes wherever we could. The toilet had no ventilation. At night the room never got warm, since the air conditioning didn’t work and there was no duvet, just a quilt and a smelly blanket. There was no staff member at the guesthouse to ask for help if something came up. We waited 10 minutes for someone to arrive for check-in, then saw nobody at checkout and left the key on the door. We stayed just one night, November 30th, and couldn’t have managed more. Being out of season doesn’t excuse this kind of neglect. If the place is open, it should be run with the same care and responsibility whatever the season.
