Emre and the team made the stay feel personal, with useful advice on timing a visit to the ruins to miss the crowds. I really liked the old-style vintage rooms and the hospitality, and breakfast was good too. The rooms are cozy and spotless, with traditional decor that suits the historic district; deluxe rooms have bay windows looking onto the courtyard or mountains. It’s a peaceful little retreat despite being so central. The garden layout and outdoor pool are a welcome treat after walking around in the sun. The rooftop terrace is the place to watch sunset over town with a drink. For history lovers, the location is hard to beat: about a 3-minute walk to the Basilica of St. John and Ephesus Archaeological Museum, and a quick 5-minute drive to Ephesus itself. Great value for backpackers on a low budget.

We spent three nights here and were sorry when it was time to go. The beds were big and comfortable, the shower was great, and breakfast was wonderful. The owners are so welcoming and look after you well. Highly recommend it.

Emre welcomed us into his home and made us feel at ease. The room was spacious, very clean, and neat, and the service was perfect. Breakfast was delicious, and the whole place felt warm and inviting. If you're visiting Ephesus, stay here. Good luck, Emre.

We took our time exploring Selçuk and Ephesus over two nights, with Ephesus less than a 10-minute drive away. The hotel has only 11 rooms, and it gave us the peaceful, personal stay we wanted. Mr Emre, his cousin, and the friendly cleaning staff were genuine hosts, and we enjoyed our chats and their help. There was no pressure to buy tours, just useful advice, like getting to Ephesus before 9am, ahead of the tour groups. The nearby Justinian Basilica, less than 200 metres away, may be underrated but is a must-see. Our corner room on the second floor was large, clean, and pretty, with decor that suited the small-town feel. The building was well maintained. We also found the meals at the small on-site restaurant to be very good value. The bathroom is small but perfectly usable. One thing to know in this rural area is that the lovely old wooden windows don't have screens, so close them before nightfall to keep mosquitoes out. The fresh air was great.
