Nicea Hotel

The room was clean and had a balcony, but I wouldn’t stay here again. We picked this hotel for its advertised early breakfast so we could see the Ancient City before the crowds. At 8 a.m. breakfast still wasn’t ready, and they asked us to wait another half hour. We didn’t want to wait and asked if they could put our breakfast in the fridge for later, but were told that wasn’t possible. They also forgot the laundry I’d handed in, which sat by reception for 24 hours. Staff weren’t helpful, and at times seemed to pretend they couldn’t speak English when they didn’t want to assist. If breakfast is advertised from 8 a.m., it should be served then.

We had three happy nights here. The hotel is within walking distance of the historical sites, and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was filling and tasty, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and breakfast was good, freshly made each morning. Everyone on staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel is right beside the museum and close to all the attractions. Just be aware that the rooms get cold at night.

For our family of five, we booked a four-person Family room and a two-person room at Nicea Hotel. Both rooms were clean and well equipped, with very comfortable beds, good bathrooms, and hot water. The hotel is a little dated, though still works well. Staff in reception, housekeeping, and at breakfast were all great. The breakfast was fresh, local, and a fair spread, though we found we wanted more by around 11 a.m. The hotel sits beside the museum and it’s a short walk into town for food. There are some really good small restaurants there, but you may need to look around for a good deal. It’s a well-run, fairly priced place in a good location for families or couples. We had a car and used the paid secure parking beside the museum, which cost a small fee.
