Selena Hotel

The owner was really nice to chat with, and the hotel is well placed for getting to all the main spots. A great stay.

I slept better here than anywhere else on our trip from Izmir to Cirali and back. The beds were good, and the blackout curtains helped a lot. I was after somewhere central but quiet for visiting Selçuk and Efes, and Selena Hotel suited us. The price, location, and quality worked well for us too. Fahri, the owner, gave our daughter an extra bed, even though the main bed was big enough for three. Breakfast was always good and filling, and the woman who made it was generous with Turkish coffee and çay:-)) The staff and mr. Fahri made us feel at home and comfortable. The administrator also pointed us to a good restaurant, and we really enjoyed dinner there. We'll definitely come back to Selena.

The location was great, and everyone was so friendly and made sure we had what we needed. Such a charming, lovely hotel. Highly recommend! :)

Parking was a hassle on the very narrow street, especially arriving at night when we had to drive around looking for a spot. There wasn't even water in the room when we arrived, and the manager told us to go buy some. Breakfast was a miserable spread of old packaged cheese and bread, the saddest Turkish breakfast I've had. The room was worn and poorly kept: a broken lamp, dusty floor, and old, crusty towels and sheets. For a stay that wasn't cheap, it was far below average. In all my three visits to Turkey, this was the worst little motel I've stayed in. It had no charm or comfort, which felt especially disappointing in a country where hospitality is usually amazing. I almost always like the places I review, but I wouldn't recommend this one.
