That village-style breakfast was delicious, and the pool and rooms were both clean. Our room was roomy too. We made a last-minute decision to go and ended up loving the place enough to return. Everyone in this family-run business was sincere, modest, helpful, and quick to find solutions. It also works really well for families with babies or kids. During the day, the beach cafe was a pleasure, with plenty of tasty things to choose from and great staff. They have their own beach and parking, so neither costs extra, and finding a space was easy. In the evening, you can stay for a fresh, delicious dinner with a sea view. The place feels clean, natural, and peaceful, with a lovely view of Selimiye. Esra Hanım and her family may be our next stop. And Esra Hanım's jams are fantastic. We especially liked the crunchy pumpkin and orange ones, so you can pick some up before leaving. The beach is shared by the Blue Sea Hotel and the Blue Sea Guesthouse. It takes 15-20 minutes to walk there from the guesthouse, which is hard in the heat. You can't stroll along the beach and enjoy the view because private properties block access, so you have to take the road behind it. Everyone with a car seems to drive over, and by 11:00 the guesthouse parking lot is completely empty. There's parking near the beach. The beach's system for sun loungers is odd. Unless you get on well with the staff, it's hard to get one on the pier or in the front row. They put towels on loungers in the morning 'for guests,' then remove them and show people where to sit as they arrive. When we asked about a spot on the pier, they said something like, 'Check if we have any reserved.' At first we thought reservations were marked with one kind of towel, but later saw they might use swimsuits or patterned lounger towels too. It's hard to tell unless someone points it out. We even saw a Beşiktaş-patterned towel being taken off to show another guest a spot. Our room was extremely clean, and the bathroom had plenty of space. The bed was tiny. I included a photo with the remote control for scale, taken at checkout. Breakfast was ordinary, and the room Wi-Fi had no internet when I tried to connect. There was no phone in the room to call reception either. When we needed an extra duvet, we called the number on Google Maps. The person who answered said they weren't there and told us to go get it ourselves, even though they could have called us. When we asked if they could call, they reluctantly agreed, and then the duvet was brought to the room 😅
