Karadere Park Orman Camping

The gardens are cared for, with wooden swings, and there’s a beach only a few meters from the bungalows. We’re staying at Lykia Park Orman, Gavurağili while hiking the Lycian Way, and it’s easily the best place we’ve stayed so far. Munevver and Mehmet were wonderful hosts. Their meals, made with fresh produce from the garden and fish from down the stream, were as good as anything at a five-star restaurant. The bungalows are clean and cozy, and there’s plenty of hot water. A real highlight on the Lykia Yolu.

A lovely stop for camping along the Lycian Way. The woman running the campground was hilarious and welcoming, and she cooks really well too. Thanks for such a nice stay!

The chickens were the one thing that bothered me, clucking me awake in the morning when I was still tired from the trail. Being around animals can be pleasant, but that wake-up was frustrating. The beach was quite satisfying, and there are toilets and showers. I stopped here to camp in my tent while hiking the Lycian Way, and the owner looked after me with such sweet, motherly care. Thanks for everything!

The view is hard to beat, with waves crashing below the pine trees where we pitched our tent. After a long day on the Lycian Trail, we found warm people and cold beer here. I’d absolutely recommend staying.
