Side Prenses Resort Hotel & Spa - All Inclusive

The pool area gets really crowded, and there aren't enough chairs. Still, I liked the hotel: the food is tasty and varied, and the busy staff are caring and friendly. The rooms are clean, the evening entertainment is nice, and the location works well, with shops and restaurants within walking distance.

We had a great stay. The food was excellent, and the clean rooms were cleaned every day and felt worth the holiday cost. There were only a few English families there during peak season, but the other holidaymakers we met were pleasant and decent. Poolside loungers go quickly, so you need to be up before eight to get one. There was always space at the private beach, though, a short walk away. Shops are nearby, and don't miss the Bazaar in Manavagat. What made the hotel for us was the staff. They were professional, attentive, and able to sort out any issues. They couldn't do enough for us, and the managers and owners were great and always on hand. They won our hearts. Thank you all.

The food was the biggest letdown. There was a lot to choose from, but it was bland, too heavily spiced, or cold, and we didn't enjoy the meals. Noise made it hard to sleep too: loud music outside our room went on until midnight, then disturbances elsewhere carried on until 3 AM. In the first 15 minutes after arriving, one staff member pressured us a little to pay 20 euros and only left after we handed it over. I'd be careful about extra charges. We also saw opened water bottles being put back in the fridge, seemingly without other guests knowing. Hotel Prenses is beautiful, clean, well maintained, and has lots of activities and food options. Our room stayed spotless, and most staff were friendly and welcoming. Those problems overshadowed the positives, and we didn't have a good stay for the money.

Omar and Johnny really improved our stay. They stayed professional but made us feel at ease with their jokes. The hotel is only a five-minute walk from a lovely beach, and the pool was fine, though the sunbeds were always claimed by people who put down towels at 6am and then never seemed to use them. It felt selfish, but I guess that happens at every hotel. The all-inclusive food was a letdown. I’m not fussy, but I lived on French fries for the whole week. The shop by the pool was seriously overpriced too. Bring Turkish lira in cash, and be careful with the bald man with glasses, who I found very dishonest. You can get anything in that shop much cheaper from the places just outside the hotel.
