Tlos Butik Otel

The location and the breakfast views are beautiful, and the hotel has a lot of potential, but I can’t recommend it after what happened. We arrived late in the evening after notifying the hotel through hotels.com and WhatsApp, including a few hours before arrival. The main gate was open, so we thought it was safe to enter. At reception we saw two off-leash dobermanns. They barked aggressively, ran toward us, and one jumped on me. I wasn’t bitten, but my arm was wounded. Reception staff came and took the dogs away. It was 11 pm, and we didn’t know if we could find somewhere else to sleep, so we stayed. The receptionists were drinking, our reservation had been lost, and they initially couldn’t find the key to the other room they offered. When I asked for disinfectant and a bandage, they gave me cleaning disinfectant spray and a cream that had expired in January 2023. The next morning at least one dog was off leash on the property again, which didn’t make us feel safe and gave the impression the owners didn’t care about the incident. The place is a bit poorly maintained and needs repairs here and there. Breakfast took nearly an hour, but it was very good and like my grandma’s. In the end we paid nothing, which was the bare minimum they could do. Turkey has many beautiful boutique hotels where guests can feel safe.

The hotel staff made us feel welcome with plenty of smiles and Turkish tea, even with the language barrier. The location, surrounded by lush greenery, was stunning. Our room had its own distinctive decor, and the food was superb.

We found this cute place online while road-tripping in Turkey and looking for somewhere inexpensive to sleep in nature. We only planned to stay one night, but Selma welcomed us so warmly, and her staff were lovely and helpful. They showed us around and took us to our cute room, which had a spectacular view of nature. We slept really well, then had a perfect included breakfast. The setting worked so well for trips to oludeniz, kas, patara, saklikent and elsewhere that we ended up staying around six days, though it still felt too short. We had delicious dinners each night, with a bottle of wine or a couple of beers. The views and nature were beautiful, and Selma and her staff were great. I could keep talking about the place and people. I definitely want to return one day. I left my heart there. A precious pearl, TLOS BUTIK HOTEL.

We loved the rustic feel of the place. It was lovely and really relaxing.
