We had a beautiful room with a jacuzzi and its own terrace, plus fresh breakfast at the restaurant. Dinner came as room service, and the portions were generous and tasty. There aren’t other dinner options nearby. The staff were helpful, the receptionist was friendly, and we had what we needed for a comfortable stay. The mountain and forest setting is lovely, about a 25-minute walk from the city center. It can be hard to find a taxi in the late afternoon. There’s a direct bus from Istanbul to Agva city center during the day, then you need a taxi to get up to the hotel. In the evening, you’ll need a taxi from Istanbul to the hotel, and our Uber cost 950 lira. It’s a nice spot for couples wanting quiet time away from the hectic pace. I’d suggest adding honeymoon decorations when guests request them. I asked, but they weren’t in the room. The room and terrace were a little dirty when we checked in. Even so, we had a lovely stay and would come back.

Sergen and Serhat were especially friendly, and the breakfast they made was delicious. Our room was very clean, too. The staff were helpful and welcoming, and the hotel sits among lovely natural scenery. The breakfast was a real highlight, and the stay honestly exceeded what I expected. I’d recommend it for a quiet weekend away from the city noise.

We’ve made the trip from out of town three times now, usually to clear our heads for 3-4 days. The hotel is tucked into the forest, with a sea view, and on this visit we even got to see it in the snow. It was beautiful. The fireplace is lovely, too. Don’t let the negative reviews put you off.
