We only had two nights here, but wished we'd stayed longer. From the garden to the balconies, there are lovely views of the marina. The garden has all sorts of plants and trees, including some older olive trees we were told are over 200 years old. Sitting under them, chatting and feeling the calm breeze from Alacati while looking toward the marina was a real treat. We had a short but amazing and enjoyable stay with my family, and have decided to spend more nights here in the coming years. The hotel sits above the slopes of Alacati Marina and the windsurf clubs, with a panoramic view you can enjoy all day. We watched the wind and kite surfers showing off their skills. Rooms are bigger than a standard hotel room, with space to relax between outings, and every one has a balcony with those same great views, lovely by day and at night. Instead of an all-inclusive mass tourism setup, there's an elegant à la carte restaurant with a range of dishes. Breakfast was included in the price and carefully put together to feature traditional Turkish flavors.

A calm base at Alaçatı (port), 5-10 minutes outside the older centre. It's handy for relaxing, wind surfing, or checking out the new harbour's coffee-bars, restaurants, and shops. The coast gets a steady, refreshing wind. The rooms are huge, clean, comfortable, and have balconies with a view. Staff are friendly and obliging, and the hotel has good gym and spa options. The public beach is a 5-minute walk along the main street. Don't skip breakfast, it's one of the best Turkish hotel breakfasts around. The TV is there, but it had no wi-fi connection, which would be a plus in the future. The location is quiet, so you'll need to rent or take a car, or catch a taxi or irregular "Dolmuş" mini bus for 5-10 minutes to the centre. Getting to Çeşme merkez or Ilıca takes about 15-20 minutes.

The pool and terrace were beautiful, and my room was clean and stylish. Turkish breakfast was so fresh and delicious, and I had some of the best dinners of my trip at the hotel restaurant. I'm from Canada and felt at home right away, thanks to the friendly, helpful staff, especially since I don't speak Turkish. Soliport Hotel in Çeşme has a charming feel and a perfect location. Can't wait to return!

We loved this hotel so much that I'm planning to return next month. I hadn't expected to like it this much, and we were only there for 4 days. The staff were so friendly, the location was ideal, and we really appreciated the hospitality.
