The place is small but tidy, and the staff were kind and welcoming when we arrived late in the evening without a reservation. Getting there was difficult because the main road closed after a certain hour. If you’re driving, ask ahead about the route.

The hotel was spotless, but the bed wasn't comfortable and there was no real service. No tissues or water in the fridge, either. When we asked for tea, they said they could only give us hot water.

The rooms were clean and the hotel is right in the center, but checking in was a mess. We had booked and paid through Otelz, and even sent a note saying we'd arrive late. At reception, the owner's mother said they didn't take online bookings and had no record or payment, then asked us to cancel and pay her directly. I showed her the official confirmation and receipt, but we still couldn't get into our room for nearly half an hour while we tried to reach Otelz. She said she hadn't known about the booking, yet when she heard my name she told us she'd been waiting for us. They'd had a week to tell us about the free cancellation option, but hadn't contacted us. We ended up canceling ourselves, even though sorting out the hotel's payment with the booking site shouldn't have been our job. The owner eventually arrived and got us checked in. In the meantime, we were told there was no room for us and that other guests had arrived the same way and been kept waiting too. The room had only a duvet and two pillows, no spare toilet paper, kitchen utensils, or air-conditioning remote. The blankets they provided were thin, and it was cold. The location is very good, and you may be able to sort things out if you speak with the owner or his father. If you have to deal with the woman I mentioned, I'd choose somewhere else.

We were there as a family, and they still welcomed us even though we arrived late. Everything was spotless and the staff were friendly. We missed the morning checkout time, but they said we could stay as long as we liked. I think it's the best place to stay in Şile.
