İpek Koza Motel

We couldn’t get enough of breakfast at İpekkoza Motel. It cost 150 TL per adult, and we enjoyed it so much the first time that we drove back the next week from Pendik, Istanbul to have it again. The setting by the bank of Koca Creek is lovely, with boats passing by and great photo opportunities. After eating, you can take one of their paddle boats out on Koca Creek. It’s 50TL for 30 minutes, and up to four people can ride together. :):):)

The river view and breakfast were very good, but we weren’t satisfied with the stay overall. We didn’t get the service we were promised, and the staff didn’t handle our concerns well. In August, my wife asked the owner to recommend the best room. We were offered a new, renovated one for around $200 (6000 TL) a night. But when we arrived, it was quite old, and there had been no upgrade. It had a jacuzzi, but the air conditioning didn’t work. When we asked about it, they told us to open the window because it wasn’t too hot yet, and gave us a fan. For a 6000 TL room, that wasn’t acceptable. The hotel website didn’t even list a room at that price, which made the offer feel deceptive. The owner wasn’t very helpful when we raised the issue. They suggested moving us to a room with a fireplace for almost half the price, then said the next day they’d refund the 3000 TL difference. The money still hadn’t arrived after we left, so we had to call several times. It left us feeling this was an unprofessional, irresponsible business. We believe they deliberately delayed the stay, which was unacceptable. There are much better options in Ağva at this price, I think. Caner/Karina Sorry for the late feedback.
