The rooms and location are nice, but my own experience was unacceptable. We arrived with the family without a reservation and told reception we needed a room. They quoted a price, we agreed, and I explained we’d only use the room for a few hours to go to the beach and use the shower and bathroom, while still paying for the full night, not a partial rate. They said they’d ask the manager. Later, they came back and told us there were no rooms left.

I stayed here a long time ago as an American tourist. The remodeled Historic Kumbaba Hotel now has neatly arranged grass, flower beds, and trees, so you don’t have to carry sand to your room anymore. The two pools both circulate fresh Black Sea water. One is round and has a green ivy-covered fence to block the sea wind on windy days. The other is rectangular, in front of the hotel between the beach. The rooms are very modern and have air conditioning. It’s a fantastic, serene, peaceful vacation spot for families, couples, or singles. The service is outstanding, and they make you feel like part of the Historic Kumbaba Family. Kudos to new owner Mustafa, job well done!!!

I can’t think of a single positive thing to write about this place. Every order took at least 30 minutes, even drinks. The room prices are way out of proportion. And if you do stay there, I hope you don’t have a disagreement, because from my experience they won’t really try to solve the problem.

The hotel itself is nice, but the service was very bad for what we paid. We booked a suite and had the worst service we’ve ever had. For three days there was no room service, they ignored our request to send chairs to the room, and the internet kept having problems. Breakfast was at least 35 minutes late and was just a fixed plate. The service overall was really poor. I don’t recommend it to anyone.

The tour guide was very rude. They just want money, and get angry if you don’t eat there because they aren’t making money from you.
