Ugur Motel Ağva

We ended up staying four nights, even though at first I was unsure about the cleanliness because of rust on the radiators. I waited until after the first night to extend the booking, but the bathroom, linens, and towels were clean and put me at ease. It was the most affordable motel we found online in Ağva, and we got more than we expected. Our room opened straight onto the garden, and sitting on the balcony was a real pleasure. The garden connects to their own breakfast and pancake place, which has a lively atmosphere that didn’t bother us. Other guests were calm and friendly, the staff were friendly too, and we never felt unsafe. It’s just a few meters from Migros, with only a park between the motel and the beach, so the beach is basically one back street away. Most other hotels are on that street anyway. The bathroom is much bigger than a typical hotel bathroom, which was great after camping because we needed a warm, comfortable shower. The room photos are accurate, and the rooms are identical. There’s a small tube TV, and the satellite works. Even when we were out all day, the room didn’t get too hot. We usually left the fan under the light on, but sometimes got cold and turned it off at night. Ağva isn’t especially hot anyway. One downside was that the toilet paper and towels weren’t changed. We didn’t ask, and after reading that changing linens costs extra, we didn’t feel like bringing it up. I think they should ask about this when someone books a longer stay, though it wasn’t a major issue. We also had a mosquito problem after the second day despite the nets, so perhaps that could be improved. Don’t be put off by the motel having few reviews, since reviews can be bought. You can stay here with confidence, though people with higher standards might not be satisfied. We found more than we expected.
