Yasmin Motel

It wasn't very good.

The location was great and the price reasonable, and the owner was attentive and helpful. Still, after one night, we hoped we hadn't caught anything because the place was so dirty and neglected. It felt like an abandoned shack that was close to collapsing.

The room had been cleaned before we arrived, but only very superficially, and cleanliness overall wasn't great. Breakfast was good and had plenty of items, though when we arrived at 9:30 a.m. nobody was there. We came back at 10 a.m. and got breakfast then. The staff may be in the kitchen, so you might not hear them when you arrive, and reception isn't open around the clock. The location is quite central, and being pet-friendly is a plus. But the hotels and shopkeepers have a small-town mentality, and unfortunately Yasmin does too. When we changed our two-night stay to one night, they were upset and charged 130 lira, saying a single night would cost more, despite our earlier agreement of 250 lira for two nights. I also thought the 5 lira charge was unnecessary. They wouldn't take a credit card and wanted cash. It's a reasonable hotel for Ağva, but that's the problem: we found average service at very high prices in Agva.

Compared with the other, very overpriced hotels in the area, this is one of the cheapest. The breakfast was good, well prepared and quite comprehensive, though it wasn't a buffet. It got cold at night, but the radiators kept the room warm. The cleaning seemed superficial, so the room could have been cleaned more carefully.
