Terma City Hotel

The pools were amazing, and the design was really interesting. The hotel looks great, and the food was nice, but the service was awful. We had no towels, and even after asking, none came. There were stains on the bed and the AC didn't work. The bathroom itself was clean, though. We couldn't work out how to turn on the TV, so we had to figure it out on our own. We only ended up here because the hotel we were headed to didn't exist. The location is kind of odd, but okay.

The rooms were kept neat, and the housekeepers were polite and clearly on top of their work. There are several room types, so it's worth asking to see which one fits what you want. The hotel is thoughtfully built and designed, with plenty of options for a comfortable stay. It can get crowded because rooms are sold as timeshares, and some guests aren't very considerate. The food also falls short for a luxury hotel and could be improved. The property stretches out horizontally, so walking from an east-side room to the restaurant on the west side takes a while.

The view was great, and the spas were okay. Service, though, was the worst I've experienced. Guest service calls went unanswered, and the reception staff were rude and unhelpful, especially toward us as non-Turkish guests. We asked for the Wi-Fi password, but they wouldn't give it to us even though unlimited internet was advertised. There's no cleaning or room service. Our room had no towel, so we had to go buy one ourselves. Even the timeshare credit wasn't worth the stay. Do yourself a favor and pick another resort.

The room really shocked me. There was a broken table, and sunflower seeds left behind by what were probably previous guests. The shower door was so unstable it looked ready to break, and when I tried opening the room door, its frame fell down. I stayed a few days with my family and came away very disappointed. The ads make the hotel look grand and beautiful, but inside it didn't feel special. There's a lot of gold architecture, apparently to make it look as expensive as possible. After hearing the earlier complaints too, I can't understand how a place like this gets five stars. This isn't what I'd expect from a five-star hotel.
