Dagkent Plus Suites Apartment

I stayed for a week and was very satisfied. It was quiet, comfortable enough, and the most economical place to stay. The staff were great, and it's right in the city center.

Two of us stayed for one night, and it was awful. The pillows, sheets, and towels smelled so bad that we put our T-shirts over the pillows to sleep. The bathroom was in a terrible state: the toilet and seat were broken, the shower door was broken, and there was nowhere to hang the shower head. The bed and springy sofas felt like old furniture from the 80s. In the kitchen, all they gave us was two paper cups and plastic forks, with no utensils, kettle, or even basic glass cups and metal spoons. The price wasn't that cheap either. We could have paid 500 more for somewhere much better. I wouldn't recommend it.

The beds were so uncomfortable that the springs dug into us, and the rooms were freezing. I can't recommend staying here. Pay 3-5 more for somewhere better rather than waste your money and end up miserable. The management's response to my review left out details. We didn't check in on May 21st. I posted as soon as we left, and they replied right away. How could they have quickly assigned and cleaned a room for a family of three? When we first arrived, they said they only accepted two people maximum. And Tokat is a rainy, cold city, not a coastal one. Don't take the management's account at face value.

The location near the center, the price, and the parking are the hotel's three real advantages. We arrived late with the children and trusted its four-star rating, paying before we saw the rooms. I was shocked when we got there, but we were tired, had already paid, and couldn't manage to find another place that night. The rooms had a musty smell and another unpleasant odor, not cigarette smoke. The sheets seemed to be left by previous guests. We asked for clean ones for the children, but nobody brought them, so my wife had to get them herself. Those sheets smelled too and hadn't been washed. We went down again to replace them. There were only three towels: two were clean, while the one in the bathroom was dirty and smelled terrible. The balcony door lock was broken, so anyone could get in at night, which made us feel completely unsafe. The shower door was hard to open and close because its handle was missing, and the shower cubicle was broken. At least there was hot water and the room was warm. The floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years, the sofas were dirty, the curtains torn, and some outlets didn't work. There were trash bins in the kitchen and bathroom, a hair dryer, and a working refrigerator. The hotel isn't on the main street, but it was noisy all night. Neither we nor the children slept. A door slammed so hard that we jumped out of bed, and toward morning there were sounds like dogs eating another dog. I've never heard anything like it. A clean bed would have been enough for us to rest before continuing our trip, but we got no rest at all. We regret not paying double for somewhere else. The reception staff greeted us coldly and acted as if every guest was bothering them. It felt like you could read “What are you doing here?” on their faces. I don't know why; maybe it's routine for them. We liked Tokat when we toured it the next day, but the hotel was bad. If price is all that matters and you only need a bed and water, you could choose it.
