Jungle Apart Hotel

Our room's AC was broken, so in the July heat we were expected to get by with a fan. When we asked to move, they refused and said the AC in the other room was even worse. Since we were only staying one night, we chose this room anyway, and regretted it.

This is a pleasant little apart-hotel in Torba, with about 15 rooms. The beach, markets, and public transport to Bodrum center are all nearby, and there's a reasonably sized pool. Although the rooms are described as sleeping three or four, I think they'd feel too small for more than two people over a longer stay.

The room had a sewage smell that kept hurting our noses through the night. I've been coming here for two years, usually staying ten days in Bodrum and spending three days in each apartment, but this year I could barely last three days before leaving. I paid half what a beachfront room with a jacuzzi in Marmaris would've cost, and it felt like they were determined to put us in the same room every year.

I visited years ago and remember it as a lovely, quiet place near the sea and the markets. The late Mr. Cihat was kind and hospitable. I don't know who's running it now. Ten out of ten.
