Outside the hotel, the main downside for me was the pricing at some bars and restaurants. Some owners seemed unscrupulous and could charge £200 or more for a meal, in pounds rather than lira, so ask the price first. Bodrum town is hectic, and its beaches are gritty, though the cheap boat trips are great and there's a big shopping bazaar in the center. The nearby village is much quieter, apart from the line of bars by the waterfront pontoon. The hotel itself is stunning, with lovely staff and fabulous pools, plus an adequate gym and a spa. Housekeeping will do what you ask. We left a translated note using an app, and I tipped a little when I'd asked them to do extra work, just to be kind. There's only a little English spoken, so a translator app helps. The food is delicious, though it gets a bit samey from day to day. There aren't drinks included with the evening meal, so you'll add to your bar bill, but the prices there are very reasonable. The spa lets you shower there if you have a late flight and need to check out of your room. If I could move this hotel and its staff somewhere else, I'd visit again. But I wouldn't return to Turkey.

The rooms are modern, roomy, comfortable, and nicely designed, and there's plenty of greenery in the attractive outdoor areas. A couple of huge olive trees caught my eye; their bark says some are over 300 years old. It isn't right on the beach, but the food and drinks are good quality for the price, and the staff are very helpful.

The bus to Bodrum leaves right outside, and the ride is short and inexpensive. Torba also has restaurants and bars within an easy walk. The hotel is peaceful, with cozy rooms, tasty food, and staff who were always friendly and accommodating. I'd stay again and have already recommended it to friends and family.

I've been here more than twice, and it's my favorite place to unwind. The greenery makes it feel like a little paradise. It's not on the seafront, but a five to seven minute walk gets you to the beach bars and nice restaurants.
