It was very cold sitting and watching TV on the patio. The location is only useful if you need the out of town buses, and it felt seedy at night with nothing to do. The manager said my credit card was invalid and asked for another one. It worked to book a flight and another hotel later, so I suspect he was trying to charge me twice.

The bathroom was dated and needs maintenance. Bed covers and pillows smelled really bad, and the sleeping covers were so thin they weren't comfortable. The location isn't great unless you're mainly after being near the airport and mall. On the positive side, it was reasonably priced, Qaqa at reception was a good guy, and they brought towels and toilet paper when I asked. I came away with mixed feelings.

The apartment had enough space, and the manager spoke English. I had bad luck with a sixth-floor room, though. The pigeons made so much noise I could hardly sleep. It definitely needs some insulation.

When I returned to Trabzon on 11.08, I called reception and was told there was no free room. I reminded them they had said their company had four hotels and could host me, but the receptionist only offered to search elsewhere. He did look for a free place at a different hotel, but it wasn't cheap, and the "new" hotel's receptionist said they had no connection with them and I would have to pay the full price. This is a place where you can easily lose your money. Thanks, Alibeyoglu Apart Otel, for making both my trips unforgettable. There are many good people in Trabzon, so keep looking for cheaper places and avoid them. Here's how it started: I visited, avoided booking because I knew booking gets some profits from them, and took one room planning to stay. I hadn't used the bed or bathroom. The receptionist said we had to take our shoes off to enter, but there were no slippers. I just entered the Wi-Fi password and started scrolling, then got a message that my country's border was closing to me and I needed to cross it ASAP. I asked reception to return half my money, not all of it. They refused, but said if I visited Trabzon again they could host me and apply the money I'd spent. This was on 17.07. I agreed to return, trusting that my money wouldn't be lost. I also spoke to their manager, who said he had a big company with four hotels and it wouldn't be a problem.
