The staff at reception tried to help, but after exhausting the solutions they suggested, we ended up sitting in the lobby. This was a terrifying experience that ruined our holiday. The hotel calls itself four-star, but I don't think it meets an acceptable standard or suits a tourist stay. I can't recommend it. Our first room was tiny, with sagging mattresses that made sleeping uncomfortable. The furniture looked terribly worn and long neglected. Lighting was poor, with some bulbs burned out and others flickering. There was no hot water for a shower, and there was a yellow water stain. We also didn't get the balconies shown in the photos. We had to change rooms several times because of air conditioning problems. Maintenance couldn't fix them, and eventually we were told the temperature was fixed at 25°C and couldn't be adjusted. The hotel's location was noisy too, with loud planes taking off and landing, so it was nearly impossible to relax. No staff spoke a foreign language other than Turkish, which made it difficult to communicate or get help. Connecting doors between rooms made the layout strange and compromised privacy. The swimming pool water was very unclean.

The restaurant dishes are delicious, and the receptionists are kind. The hotel is comfortable and beautiful, in a convenient spot near the airport and bus station.

Room service was good, but it was clear the room hadn't been cleaned properly. I spent one week in a fourth-floor apartment where the wifi never worked. It was also down in my family's second-floor apartment. When I asked for it to be fixed, they just passed the task along. To get online, you have to go down to the lobby, which is inconvenient. I'd recommend getting a data plan if you stay here. Breakfast was okay, and the service was okay too, though I wish more than one employee spoke English. The location is handy: there's a bus to the mall (forum) and meydan (downtown), and it's close to a supermarket and the airport. Depending on where your room is, the airport can be annoying. In the attic, the ceiling is so low I hit my head several times. The TV has only turkish channels. The elevator can be very slow or stop working sometimes.

The food was average, and the staff were pleasant and helpful, though communication was difficult because of the language. The rooms were fine and supplied with clean things regularly. The interior design of the fourth-level attic suite was poor. For the price, it's a good place and location overall.

The staff were the best part. When my daughter, who has a lung respiratory disease, urgently needed medication, the pharmacies were closed because it was Saturday. Samira, Dede and Ihan stayed with me until they found a pharmacy open for the Saturday shift. They called a taxi and explained exactly where to go, since I don't speak the language and needed help communicating outside the hotel. With a sick baby in a foreign country, feeling overwhelmed and unable to speak the language, that kind of support was so calming. They treated me like family. The service is good, and the location is perfect, 4 minutes from the airport and close to everything. I'd recommend this place to anyone going to trabzon.
