We booked a sea view room through Agoda, and the booking clearly showed that request. At check-in, though, the receptionist, Otlev, said they hadn’t received it and couldn’t find it when I asked to see the Agoda request. Agoda later confirmed it was booked as a sea view room, so they may have overbooked and had no sea view room left. Even after we told them the truth and apologized, they decided to lie. The young receptionist, Sonet, was extremely rude. Once he realized we were speaking with Agoda, he said he couldn’t speak English, refused to talk with Agoda representatives, ignored their emails, and wouldn’t communicate through translation apps either. We arrived at lunchtime and spent over two hours dealing with this. No tea or water was offered, just one lie after another. I don’t even know whether those were their real names, since the woman wrote them on their card. I asked for a manager and was told nobody was available and nobody spoke English, even though the website claims they do. I couldn’t see any customer service there. The hotel is also in a particularly bad location, far from Trabzon and very noisy, especially in a road-facing room. There was really bad traffic getting there from the airport. After touring 40+ countries and staying in hundreds of hotels, this was the worst one.

The location is about a 20-minute drive from the city center, which made for a quieter vacation. The hotel sits by the sea, with easy access to a fairly secluded public beach. The water was clean enough, and the hotel provides sunbeds when asked. Our room was spacious and clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the view was amazing. Staff were kind and very helpful, doing their best to make the stay enjoyable. They don’t speak much English, but Google Translate can handle that. The Turkish restaurant is very good and apparently well known locally. Breakfast was good, though it was the same each day and easy to get tired of.

We really enjoyed how calm and peaceful the place was. The suite had an amazing sea view, and it’s the best room choice. It was clean, spacious, and had AC. The restaurant also had a lovely view, and the food and service were excellent. Our only negative was the room’s security and privacy. Even with the privacy sign on the door, the housekeeper came in without permission, which made us uncomfortable for the rest of the stay.

Mr. Bulut introduced himself and helped make sure we had a pleasant stay. Staff were friendly and tolerant, and the restaurant served good breakfast and dinner. We spent a couple of nights here in Trabzon and were glad we did, especially with immediate access to a black sand beach for swimming in the Black Sea.

The food was super wow, and the view was amazing. The place was very clean, parking was no problem at all, and the staff were the best, friendly and kind. I recommend this hotel 200%.
