Kurt Otel

After two months traveling around Turkey, I finally found what I look for in a hotel here in Trabzon: cleanliness, caring and courteous staff, and a calm atmosphere. No matter how many stars a place has, those things matter to me. Kudos to Kürt Otel.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel seemed fairly new. It's far from meydan, though buses are available all the time. Still, I wouldn't stay here again. The owner was mean, and we had to ask several times for service, fresh sheets, or towels. There was no tissue paper, kettle for making tea or coffee, safe, or wastebasket in the room. The elevator was out of order, so we had to climb to the fifth floor many times a day.

The room faced the street, so I heard traffic noise all the time, and the bed was uncomfortable. There was no patio, and the air conditioning only provided heat. The location was very bad. Breakfast wasn't bad, but the place was dark throughout, even at reception and in the breakfast hall. Cheap management. First and last time here.

I stayed four nights and had no trouble coming back late. The hotel is close to the center, and Trabzon Forum Mall is a 15-minute walk away. Rooms are quite spacious and clean, the service is excellent, and management was cooperative. Breakfast was good, with several kinds of eggs and soups. For a new hotel, I think the price and location are suitable. I recommend it.
