Nehir Otel

The hospitality and comfort here make me want to return, God willing. My thanks to the hotel management for the warm welcome and good service, and especially to Mr. Safa and Ms. Amina at reception. They treated us very well and clearly cared about guests' comfort. With appreciation and best regards.

The suite was really spacious, and parking was adequate. Nehir Hotel is also a reasonable drive from Trabzon city centre. We had a great stay and I'd come back. The staff were a bit laissez-faire, which worked out fine, though communicating was tricky since none spoke English. We knew what to expect, given that we weren't in an English-speaking country.

The food was a real highlight for me. There was good variety, and the meals were fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. The rooms were spotless and well kept, with housekeeping making sure they stayed comfortable and clean each day. From arrival onward, the staff were welcoming, professional, friendly, and ready to help. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great experience, with strong service, cleanliness, and food.

The front desk staff were the main highlight for us. Sefa, Hussain, and Ali were friendly and tried hard to help, and Khan in the restaurant deserves a shoutout too. The housekeeper on our floor and the restaurant women were lovely, and everything was super clean. I also noticed there was no bad smell in the hallways or restaurant, unlike what I've encountered at other hotels, even high-end ones. Our first room wasn't properly prepared and was missing a shower door, but the staff moved us to another one the next day. The area is quiet, though planes taking off nearby can be loud and frequent because of the airport. Roosters and birds in the evening and early morning helped make up for that. Meydan is fairly close, and there are a few restaurants between 100 and 600 meters away. Most staff speak only Turkish or very limited English, which was difficult as a tourist. I'd expect at least some English, and since I noticed that over 80% of the guests were visitors from the Middle East, it would help if staff learned some Arabic too for people who don't speak English or Turkish. It's a very family-oriented hotel. I'd recommend it to anyone on a budget wanting to enjoy Trabzon. Thanks, Sefa, Hussain, Ali, and Khan.
