Uzer Otel

There are plenty of nearby places for good local food, and the WiFi worked reliably throughout my stay at Uzer Otel. I was traveling solo, and the price was fantastic for what I got, especially compared with pricier Airbnbs that don't include daily room cleaning. My room was modern and spotless, with a working mini fridge, kettle, and instant coffee and tea that were replenished each day. The AC worked perfectly in the warm weather. Some fittings were loose and the tiling wasn't perfect, but at that price it didn't bother me. Staff were friendly, carried my luggage to the room, and spoke some English, which made things easy. Being able to check in 24/7 was a big help with my late arrival.

The staff were super nice and helpful, and breakfast was decent. Still, I wouldn't recommend staying here for more than a night, especially if you have another option. The central Trabzon location is in a very loud area, and it was hard to sleep. There were bugs in the room, and despite being told it was non-smoking, it smelled strongly of smoke. The cover even had a cigarette burn hole. The bed and pillows were so uncomfortable my back and neck hurt the next day.

The coast is almost nearby, and walking to the city center takes about 7-8 minutes. It's a small, quiet hotel with friendly staff, good breakfast, and prices that aren't expensive. Absolutely wonderful.

Breakfast was excellent and came with the room. Check-in was seamless, everything was spotless, and the hotel looks recently renovated, with modern furniture and decor. My room had more amenities than I needed, all for under USD 20. It's in a good spot, about a 13-minute walk from the central park where the airport shuttle drops you off. I did have trouble getting directions and recommendations because of the language barrier, but the staff tried their best to help, and we still managed a game of Charades.
